The Ballet Folklorico de Ojinaga will perform traditional Mexico folk dancing.

Special thanks to Lee Taylor of the Mexican Consulate in Presidio for arranging their appearance, along with that of the Mexican artists.

A retrospective showing of the exhibit entitled “W – A Portrait of a President” – George Bush on Black Velvet will be on display. This is a fun collection of artwork in the style of the ubiquitous Mexican Velvet Paintings spotlighting the current White House Resident.

There will be an onsite portrait artist, Theresa Zelazney – who will paint portraits on demand there on the spot.

The Bake Turner International Film Festival will be shown at the event. Bake Turner, a former New York Jets Superbowl Ring Owner will also provide the entertainment at the show’s opening reception. The film festival showcases all of Bake Turner’s famous TV commercials made during his football career, featuring the likes of Joe Namath in his almost trademark panty hose, and other nostalgic media trivia classics.

Clip and Snip of Marathon will do onsite haircuts “while you enjoy the art”.

Food vendors will be on site, in case anyone gets hungry.

There will be a special appearance of the legendary West Texas cowboy artist A. Kelly Pruitt – who will put on one of his trademark painting exhibitions. Watch as he almost magically produces a Cowboy Artist masterpiece with his painting knife and oils. Pruitt is the artist who painted the murals on the locally famous “Alpine Limo”.

Inside Carmen’s Café will be the location of “La Tienda”, which will feature a rare appearance of artist Bryant “Eduardo” Holman and his Mexican Day of the Dead artwork, which has been purchased by collectors around the world. Holman has a unique perspective on the Mexican Day of the Dead, having been an amateur folklorist specializing in the hidden magical culture of Mexico for the last sixteen years.

Also at “La Tienda” – don’t miss the unique “Retro” collectables of “The West Texas Design and Décor Center” – with its fun collection of items for yourself and for your home.

Mark your calendars and plan to be there the weekend of October 5th, 6th, and 7th – there in Marfa, Texas!
